The Valuator – History & Prices
The first issue of The Valuator was published in 1989.  The last issue for which we charged a fee was in 2022.  It covered 500 stocks, came out once a month, and cost $25 per month.  As Dr. Felt neared retirement, he decided to give his efforts without charge.  So, this site has become more of a hobby than a business.  However, something strange has happened.  We had been charging $25 per month for each of our publications, which included
Strongest ETFs, The Valuator, Valuator (Print), ETF Alerts, Stops, Strongest Stocks, Breakouts, Stock-Scanner, RC Allen, ATR , Stops, SD Stops, Momentum, ST Stops, Valu-Pak, Valu-Pak-Prem, Donchian Alerts, Volume Surges, HotStocks
They were very popular.  When we stopped charging a fee for these, the number of new subscribers declined.  People who were already subscribers continued, but almost overnight, the number of new subscribers dried up.  For years people had a strong interest in subscribing to one or more of our services.  The Valu-Pak was the most popular, consisting of several services.  It was as if people stopped valuing our subscriptions when we no longer charged for them.  People seemed to value them only when they had to pay for them.  Because interest in subscriptions declined with the drop in fees, we felt the price we were paying in time, labor, and data services was no longer justified.  Therefore, we dropped all services but The ValuatorThe Valuator was our source for “Strongest Stocks” among other services.  The indicators on our Website started as features of the printed version of The Valuator.  Eventually they were transferred from The Valuator to the Website.  The Valuator is now much bigger than it was before.  It is more than twice the size and comes out weekly rather than monthly.  However, subscriptions have dropped with the price.  We suspect that people think our free offer is a gimmick or scam, and that perhaps they think people would not really provide a free service.  “They must have some way of profiting from it.”  The fact is, we don’t profit.  We do not advertise, and there is no money being generated for us by this Website.
What is interesting to us is the fact that we have had over 1,000 attacks on the site per day.  People want to break in.  It makes no sense, because they could simply sign up and gain access without paying a fee.  Even though we do not charge, we will not treat what we offer as trash or as a discard.  We do all we can to stop thieves from stealing what we offer free of charge.  We believe that what we offer has value.  People have been willing to pay for our services for 30 years, and we are now willing to share The Valuator with those who value it enough to place an order for it (we no longer offer our other services).  The orders are free.
